[When Rei wakes up, there is a small metal can opener with a penguin design engraved on it right next to his glasses. Linked with a chain loop to the can opener is a red suede heart.

They're sitting on a little note:]

For my Rei-chan,

Thank you for a beautiful 6 months together and hoping for many more,

Your Nagisa

[After getting his glasses on, Rei promptly explodes from joy.

He then goes to make sure a box with a bracelet and note to Nagisa saying:]

For Nagisa-kun,

You have made me happier than I have ever hoped to be. I hope we continue to share this beauty together.

Your Rei

[Is found where Nagisa can find it.]

[OH GOSH he absolutely loves it. He puts it on his wrist and then goes to find Rei, trailing his hand around Rei's back to rest on his shoulder and show off the bracelet.

Then, smiling and beaming with pride, Nagisa leans in to give him a kiss.]

[He's outside reading a book when Nagisa finds him and he blushes at the kiss but is glad his gift is appreciated.

His own gift is currently being worn from his belt loop. He loves both of them.]

Rei-chan I...

[But he just hugs him again]

I'm so happy. Can I sit out here with you?

[Right away he makes room for him.]

[Nagisa sits down next to him and leans up against his arm with a smile]

It might be a little dry for you. Are you sure?

It's fine. If I fall asleep, at least I'll be here with you. I'll try not to though!

[He gives him a look but decides to play along, returning to his book and reading it to him.]

[As much as possible, Nagisa tries reading along in some parts, not even whole sentences. Just trying to engage in something he knows Rei likes.]

[Relaxing, Rei settles into it, even wrapping his arm around Nagisa at one point while he reads to him.]

[While this is fun and all, he waits until Rei finishes a chapter and then decides to hold one of Rei's elbows up]

One second...

[And slips his head underneath it so that he can crawl into Rei's lap, reclining his head against Rei's shoulder]

Now we can keep reading.

[Rei is confused as to why they're stopping when Nagisa wiggles his way right onto his lap.

It's...

It's too cute.

He blushes and adjusts his glasses before continuing to read again, holding onto his boyfriend with one arm.]

[Nagisa feels him adjusting his glasses and then where his hand wraps.

Yeah, this is is nice. It doesn't matter if the book is dry, this is time with Rei-chan.]

[Soon, he's relaxed again, turning the page when necessary as he continues reading the book in a quiet tone. It's intimate that way, just them. He likes that actually.]

[Nagisa tries to anticipate Rei's hand every other page to do the turning for him, but sometimes he's a little late and actively bats Rei's hand away so that he can do that instead.]

[Rei blinks the first time his hand is batted away but finally just lets Nagisa turn pages to focus on reading to him.]

I just wanted to do something to help, is all.

Good. I don't want to be annoying on such a big day. I'm trying really hard!

[He leans a bit and pecks Rei on the cheek, smiling.]

I'm glad! I wanted to do something I know you like.

[He sets the book down for a moment.]

Look for more books? There's someplace I passed by awhile back that would be fun to check out again. It looked like there were lots of random things in there.
